The ProBors Market heatmap is the sector-breadth view inside the signed-in Market tab. Instead of typing tickers one at a time, you scan how large-cap groups are moving by sector, then click a tile to land in the full ticker workspace with congressional disclosures, insider rows, and chart markers already loaded. It is a navigation layer for disclosure research—not a trading signal on its own. This is a product walkthrough, not investment advice.
Quick answer
Open Market in the dashboard, select the Heatmap sub-tab, and choose S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, or Dow 30. Tile size reflects market-cap weight within the preset; color reflects the session price change. Click any symbol to jump to Workspace on that ticker, then review congress and insider tables, open the disclosure context window, or follow the name on your watchlist. Switch back to Heatmap when you want rotation context before picking the next symbol.

ProBors splits market research across two Market sub-views:

The heatmap complements the Market workspace guide, which assumes you already know which ticker to open. Heatmap answers a different morning question: which large-cap names in a benchmark are moving enough to warrant a disclosure check today?

Step 1: Open Market and switch to Heatmap
After signing in at probors.com, open the Market tab from the dashboard header. Two pills appear at the top:
- Workspace — single-ticker hub (default when you arrive from search or a trade row)
- Heatmap — sector map for the active benchmark preset
Select Heatmap. The panel loads a full-width stock map grouped by sector. A short footnote reminds you that heatmap rendering comes from TradingView; use it for breadth context, then return to Workspace for ProBors disclosure tables.
Step 2: Choose a benchmark preset
Three chips control which universe you see:

Switch presets when your research question changes. A disclosure story tied to mega-cap platforms may start on Nasdaq 100; a defensive-sector congress cluster may be easier to spot on S&P 500. The heatmap does not filter congressional or insider feeds—it only changes which symbols are one click away.
Step 3: Read tile size and color before you click
Each rectangle represents one listed symbol in the active preset:
- Tile size — scaled by market capitalization within the dataset (larger tiles carry more index weight)
- Tile color — session price change (green for up, red for down on the default dark theme)
- Grouping — sectors cluster related names so you can see whether a move is isolated or sector-wide
Hover for the symbol tooltip when you need the exact ticker before clicking. A red Technology block with one outsized loser is a different research prompt than a broad red day across Financials—neither proves politician or insider activity, but both help you prioritize which names deserve a disclosure pass.
Step 4: Click a tile to open Workspace on that symbol
Clicking a heatmap tile routes you into Workspace with the symbol pre-selected—the same deep link pattern used when you pick a ticker from global search or a trade row. The sticky quote strip, Price & disclosures chart, congressional table, insider table, and peer chips load for that symbol.
From here, the disclosure workflow matches the Market workspace:

Step 5: Loop back to Heatmap or pivot to Trades and Whales
After you finish on one symbol, return to Heatmap to scan the next sector, or pivot to chamber-wide feeds when the question is no longer ticker-specific:
- Trades tab — recent House and Senate STOCK Act rows across all members (Trades tab guide)

- Global search — jump directly when you already know the politician or ticker (global search guide)
A practical morning loop: Heatmap → spot a moving mega-cap → Workspace congress and insider tables → context window verification → watchlist follow. Repeat only for names where disclosure timing matters to your thesis.

Heatmap is optional for power users who live in watchlists and alerts. It pays off when you cover a benchmark basket and want a visual queue before opening five separate workspace tabs.
What this view does not prove
Sector color on a heatmap does not show congressional filings, insider clusters, or signal scores. A green tile is not evidence that politicians bought the stock; a red tile is not evidence they sold. ProBors disclosure tables and official House, Senate, and SEC filings remain the verification layer. Heatmap data is market context from the embedded chart provider—always confirm rows in Workspace before citing them externally.
FAQ
Does the heatmap show congressional or insider overlays?
No. Congress triangles and insider diamonds live on the Workspace price chart and the full /chart/{TICKER} page. Use Heatmap to pick a symbol, then enable markers after you land in Workspace.
Can I open Heatmap on mobile?
The heatmap renders inside the responsive Market tab. On small screens, zoom and pan behave like the embedded TradingView widget—expect a tighter layout than desktop. For detailed table work, Workspace on a larger screen is usually faster.
Which preset should I use for tech disclosure research?
Nasdaq 100 surfaces the concentrated mega-cap technology names that often appear in both congress and insider feeds. Switch to S&P 500 when you also care about financials, health care, and industrials in the same pass.
Does clicking a heatmap tile apply filters on the Trades tab?
No. The click opens Market → Workspace on that ticker. Congressional and insider tables below the chart are scoped to the symbol. Use the Trades or Whales tabs separately for market-wide feeds.
Where do I check if disclosure data is current?
Open probors.com/status for ingest health. An empty congress table on an active ticker may reflect timing or feed delay—not necessarily absence of filings.
