The ProBors Blog tab lives inside the signed-in dashboard at probors.com, next to Trades, Whales, and Market. Instead of opening a separate browser tab for every how-to, you can search guides, filter by category, and read full articles with a table of contents while your disclosure tables stay one click away. Use it when you need a filing-lag refresher, a signal-score walkthrough, or a chamber-specific checklist mid-research. This is a product walkthrough, not investment advice.
Quick answer
Click Blog in the dashboard header. Search by keyword, tap a category chip such as Guides or Product, then open any card to read the full post in place. Long guides show a sticky table of contents on the right; related posts appear at the bottom so you can chain workflows without returning to the index. Press All blog to go back to the grid, or switch to Trades / Whales to apply what you just read. The same articles are public at /blog/{slug} for sharing— the in-app tab is the faster path when you are already signed in.
Where the Blog tab fits
ProBors separates live disclosure feeds from reference material:
| Tab | Primary job |
|---|---|
| Trades | House and Senate STOCK Act screener |
| Whales | Large insider Form 4 prints |
| Politicians | Member profiles and portfolio snapshots |
| Market | Ticker workspace with chart markers |
| Blog | Searchable library of disclosure workflows and product guides |
| Chat | Natural-language questions across the data above |
The Blog tab does not replace official filings on House Clerk or Senate eFD portals. It is the on-ramp for how to read those filings inside ProBors—pair it with the Trades tab guide when you are learning the dashboard for the first time.
Step 1: Open Blog from the header
After you sign in, the main navigation lists Blog between Portfolios and Chat. Click it once—the tab loads inside the dashboard shell, so your session, watchlist, and notification bell stay visible.
The index view shows:
- A Search blog field with a submit button
- Category chips (All, Guides, Product, Alternatives, and others as published)
- A lead card for the newest post, then a grid of additional guides
- A Load more control when the library exceeds the first page of results
No separate login is required beyond your existing ProBors account.
Step 2: Find the right guide with search and filters
Use search when you remember a topic but not the exact title—for example signal score, Senate lag, or watchlist.
Category chips narrow the grid without typing:
- Guides — STOCK Act explainers, filing calendars, and research workflows
- Product — Tab walkthroughs such as disclosure context window and notification preferences
- Alternatives — Honest comparisons with other disclosure tools
Selecting a chip clears any open article and refreshes the grid. Click All to reset the filter. Search and category filters combine: search within a category when the result set is large.
Step 3: Read an article in the dashboard reader
Click any card to open the full post. The in-app reader includes:
- Title, category badge, author, publish date, and estimated reading time
- Inline cover image when the post has one
- Rendered markdown body with the same formatting as the public blog
- A table of contents sidebar on wide screens—jump to FAQ, workflow steps, or comparison tables
- Related guides cards at the bottom for the next article in a chain
Press All blog (top left) to return to the index without losing your place in other tabs.
Step 4: Switch back to data tabs and apply the workflow
The Blog tab is most useful as a sidecar, not a destination you stay on all day. A typical loop:
- Skim new rows on Trades or Whales
- Open Blog when a column label or signal tier is unfamiliar
- Read the relevant section (for example how to compare filing date vs transaction date)
- Return to Trades, apply the filter or sort you just learned
- Click a row to open the disclosure context window and verify dates against the source PDF
Because tabs share one header, you do not lose scroll position on the feed when you hop to Blog and back in the same session.
Step 5: Share a public link when collaborating
Every in-app article also exists at a public URL such as https://probors.com/blog/how-to-read-politician-trade-disclosures. Share that link with colleagues who are not signed in—they see the same content on the marketing blog layout.
Inside the dashboard, related-guide cards keep navigation internal so you can binge a topic hub (congress tracking, insider whales, or tool comparisons) without copying URLs. For email or Slack handoffs, copy the public /blog/{slug} link from your browser when the article is open.
Common mistakes when using the in-app Blog tab
- Reading guides instead of verifying rows — articles explain workflows; the official PTR or Form 4 PDF is still the legal record.
- Ignoring category filters — searching
Capitolin Alternatives is faster than scrolling the full library. - Forgetting Chat — when a guide references a ticker you are studying, open Chat for a follow-up question instead of rereading the same table.
- Skipping the getting-started checklist — new users should finish watchlist and alerts setup before deep-diving comparison posts.
What this does not prove
Blog guides describe how ProBors organizes public disclosures and how researchers typically triage them. They do not predict returns, prove insider knowledge, or replace legal interpretation of the STOCK Act. A well-written workflow article is not a signal to trade.
FAQ
Is the in-app Blog the same as probors.com/blog?
Yes. Content, titles, and publish dates match the public blog. The dashboard version adds in-tab navigation, related-guide cards, and the table-of-contents sidebar without leaving your signed-in session.
Do I need a paid plan to open the Blog tab?
The Blog tab is available in the signed-in dashboard. Some data tabs may require an active subscription; reading guides does not substitute for live rows on Trades or Whales when your plan includes them.
Can I search from another tab?
The fastest path is opening Blog and using the search field there. For politician or ticker jumps, use the global search bar in the header—it routes to data tabs, not the guide library.
How often are new guides added?
ProBors publishes new disclosure research and product walkthroughs regularly. The lead card on the Blog index always highlights the newest post; filter by Guides or Product to see recent additions in your area.
Where do I report a broken link or outdated screenshot?
Note the article title and section, then contact support from Settings. For ingestion or quote issues on live trade rows, check probors.com/status before assuming the guide is wrong.
